LAKEMONT FARMS FACILITY SAFETY PLAN

                      LAKEMONT FARMS FACILITY SAFETY PLAN

This Facility Safety Plan should be posted on the bulletin board at the  pool during swim season as directed by the Allegheny County Health  Department

A.  PRE AND IN-SERVICE EMPLOYEE TRAINING

Lakemont Farms Homeowner Association owns their private community pool and  does not employ life guards.  Individuals serve as Monitors to check and  record pool chemicals as required.  All residents and their invited guests are  responsible for their own safety and swim at their own risk.

B. EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS

Residents and their guests are responsible for bringing their personal cell  phone to the pool so that they are prepared in the event of an emergency and/or  to monitor the weather.

There is a LANDLINE TELEPHONE in the small pool office near the swimmer  sign-in desk for emergencies.  A sign is posted on the door of the office to  alert swimmers of the phone.  This door is to be unlocked during all open pool  times.  Residents will be reminded of this phone in their annual pool opening  email.

C.  EMERGENCY CLOSURE GUIDELINES

In the event of a storm or inclement weather, residents and their guests  must vacate the fenced pool area and close the gates.

Monitors will lock the pool area gates as they alway do at the end of a  pool day.

D.  RESPONSE TO SPECIFIC AQUATIC EMERGENCIES INCLUDING THE RESPONDERS,  THEIR TASKS AND EQUIPMENT THAT IS PART OF THEIR RESPONSES.

Lakemont Farms does not have lifeguards at the pool. Residents and their  guests are responsible for responding to aquatic and other emergencies at the  pool.

IN ALL EMERGENCIES, THOSE IN ATTENDANCE AT THE POOL MUST CALL 911 TO ALERT  EMERGENCY PROFESSIONALS.

TRAINING

The Lead Monitor will review this Facility Safety Plan with all monitors  when hired and each year at opening training session.

Residents will receive an email with this Facility Safety Plan with their  annual pool opening email.
